The Carroll and Madison Public Library Foundation invites the community to purchase a ticket to a glamorous evening inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Literary Tastes: The Great Gatsby Edition will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at St. Elizabeth Parish Center in Eureka Springs.

The Holiday Island Elks Lodge will hold a Pancake Breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. The menu will include all-you-can-eat pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, as well as juice and coffee. Adults are $8. Children under 10 are $4.

The Green Forest School Board will hold a community forum at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, in the high school cafeteria at 701 School Drive, Suite E, in Green Forest.
