The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. Please arrive earlier than noon for lunch. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is an $8 charge for those under 60 and $8.50 all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

Freeman Heights hosts Regional AWANA Grand Prix
The Regional AWANA Grand Prix (Pinewood Derby Race) was hosted by Freeman Heights Baptist Church on Thursday, April 24, for local churches that participate in the AWANA programs. This year’s event included racers from Freeman Heights Baptist Church, Grandview Baptist Church and New Hope Fellowship. AWANA is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” in reference to 2nd Timothy 2:15. It was a great event with lots of smiles and excitement.
