Wins keep coming for Junior Bobcats

Berryville’s junior high boys basketball team has improved its record to 9-2, including 2-0 in conference play.

Carson McMellon scored 19 points and CT Hicks added 18 as the Bobcats cruised to a 21-point victory over visiting Pea Ridge in their conference opener on Dec. 4.

Berryville led 26-14 at halftime and extended the margin to 45-23 by the end of the third quarter.

BERRYVILLE 50, HARRISON 46

CT Hicks’ 17 points led three Bobcats in double figures as Berryville topped Harrison on Dec 7.

John Butler added 14 points and Carson Mc-Mellon scored 10 for Berryville, which led 20-17 at halftime.

BERRYVILLE 45, PRAIRIE GROVE 43

The Bobcats erased a 10-point halftime deficit 33-21 in the second half to improve to 2-0 in conference play.

Carson McMellon made five three-pointers and scored 15 points, all in the second half, to lead Berryville. CT Hicks and John Butler added eight points apiece for the Bobcats.

BERRYVILLE 51, ALPENA 27

CT Hicks scored 16 points to lead four Berryville players with at least eight in a victory over Alpena that improved the Bobcats’ season record to 10-2.

JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS PEA RIDGE 55, BERRYVILLE 28

Pea Ridge jumped out to a 24-12 halftime lead and went on to a victory over Berryville on Dec. 4 at Bobcat Arena.

Lexy Pittman and Jenna Strough scored eight points apiece for Berryville.

HARRISON 40, BERRYVILLE 13

Harrison outscored host Berryville 15-3 in the third quarter and went on to the victory on Dec. 7.

Larkin Talley scored four points for Berryville.

BERRYVILLE 37, PRAIRIE GROVE 36

Kinly Smith scored eight of her 16 points from the free-throw line, including six of eight shooting in the fourth quarter, as Berryville hung on for a victory at Prairie Grove on Dec. 11.

Lexy Pittman added nine points for the Lady Bobcats.

7TH GRADE BOYS

Nine games into the season, Berryville’s seventh-grade boys are undefeated.

BERRYVILLE 35, PEA RIDGE 11

Talon Whetham made a pair of three-pointers and scored 12 points as the Bobcats cruised to a win over Pea Ridge.

Brayden Bancroft added nine points for Berryville.

BERRYVILLE 44, HARRISON 22

Brayden Bancroft scored 18 points as the Bobcats doubled up Harrison on Dec. 7.

Bancroft scored 14 points in the first half, including three three-pointers, as Berryville jumped out to a 30-9 halftime advantage.

Sawyer Lucas added seven points for the Bobcats.

BERRYVILLE 36, PRAIRIE GROVE 16

Brayden Bancroft’s 12 points led the Bobcats in a victory at Prairie Grove on Dec. 11.

Carson Compton added eight points for Berryville, which pulled away in the second half after leading 20-12 after two quarters.

The Bobcats outscored Prairie Grove 9-0 in the third quarter.

BERRYVILLE 35, ALPENA 2

Avery Smith’s 10 points led six Bobcats in the scoring column in a road victory over Alpena on Dec. 14.

Berryville scored 18 points in the first quarter and 17 in the third on the way to the victory.
