On paper, it might seem as if the Berryville Lady Bobcats didn’t fare well on the volleyball court last week.
But coach Kristin Whetham said she’s pleased with her team’s performance, and it’s progress.
After sweeping Bergman in three sets on Monday, Sept. 12, the Lady Bobcats dropped a pair of conference matches at home, losing to Pea Ridge in three sets on Sept. 13 and to Prairie Grove in three sets on Sept. 15.
“We’re really close,” Whetham said, pointing out that Berryville had at least 20 points in all three sets against Pea Ridge. “We’re really playing hard. We’re hustling defensively. We’re not letting balls hit the ground, so all in all I think we’re coming together. I just hope we keep moving forward and progressing the way we’re progressing.”
Kynadee Hopper and Tatiana Emerson each had 18 kills last week, while Kylee Campbell added 17.
Berryville hosted Green Forest on Monday. The Lady Bobcats will be at home against Ozark on Tuesday and against Shiloh Christian on Thursday.
