The City of Berryville will host the first-ever Berryville Water Wars, a free, family-friendly water battle event staring at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at City Pool Park, located just below the playground.
Open to all ages and communities, this high-energy event invites participants to bring their water guns and prepare for a splash-filled afternoon of fun and friendly competition. The Berryville Fire Department will kick things off by spraying the crowd with a fire truck hose to make sure everyone is cooled down and ready for action.
The event will feature five age-based rounds to ensure safe and fair play:
• Ages 3–5: 1:40 p.m.
• Ages 6–8: 2:00 p.m.
• Ages 9–11: 2:20 p.m.
• Ages 12–15: 2:40 p.m.
• Ages 16 & up: 3 p.m. (Yes, even adults are invited to join in the fun!)
Created and organized by the City of Berryville’s public programs & community engagement director, Julia Borkowski, this exciting new event is aimed at creating summer traditions that bring families and communities together.
“We’re thrilled to launch the very first Berryville Water Wars,” Borkowski said. “We hope it becomes a fun and refreshing annual tradition.”
The event is open to everyone, including residents of other towns. So grab your water blasters, bring a towel, and prepare for one of the coolest events of the summer!
