A vigil in memory of 2022 Berryville High School graduate Matthew Hausman was held Friday, May 20, in front of the school.
Hausman, 18, was killed in a one-vehicle accident May 15 on Carroll County Road 601 — just hours after his high school graduation.
According to a report by Trooper Jackson Little of the Arkansas State Police, Matthew Hausman was westbound on County Road 601 in a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado at 8:24 p.m. when he lost control of his truck and went off the left side of the roadway near the intersection with County Road 608. The truck then struck a tree, overturned and came to a rest on its top.
Hausman graduated earlier that day as a member of the Berryville High School Class of 2022.
