Valerie Giarusso of Alpena, Arkansas passed away on June 23, 2022. She was 83. Valerie was born in Richmond Burough, NY on March 22, 1939, the oldest of nine children. She married Thomas James Giarusso on December 28,1971. They enjoyed traveling in Europe and the United States. They settled on the side of a mountain in the Ozark mountains where they lived out their years. Valerie was a Christian believer, she enjoyed going to church and socializing at the Berryville Senior Center. She loved living in their cabin in the woods and she fed many of the barn cats on her property. She was a good conversationalist and a good sister.
Valerie was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy Tomlinson and Joseph White, a half-brother Edward Tomlinson Jr., and her beloved husband Tom Giarusso.
Valerie is survived by her siblings: Wayne White, Dana White, Bettina White, Cynthia Billings, Tracy Tomlinson, Fred Tomlinson and Grace Tomlinson.
A memorial service will be held on July (12), 2022 at 10:00 am at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery: 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the.
