The Green Forest Tigers can officially call themselves the baseball champions of Carroll County.

After beating Berryville earlier this season, the Tigers swept a doubleheader from Eureka Springs on Thursday, April 4, by scores of 18-0 and 17-1.

Junior Mason Meador drove in five runs for Green Forest in the first game. Meador hit an RBI triple and a two-run home run in the first inning as the Tigers scored 11 runs, then added an RBI double in the second inning.

Tristin Burgess, Isaac Kennedy and Ridge Gordon-Swofford each added two hits for the Tigers.

Ryne Stone pitched three perfect innings for Green Forest, striking out five Eureka Springs batters.

Sophomore Gabe Serna and junior Brityn Gilliam led the Green Forest offense in the second game, driving in three runs apiece. Ezekiel Harlan scored three runs for the Tigers.

Radon Lawrence was the winning pitcher, striking out six batters and walking two without allowing a hit in three innings. Lawrence allowed just one run, which was unearned.

Green Forest will face Bergman in a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 9. The Tigers will play at Clinton on Thursday, April 11, before hosting Harrison on Friday, April 12.
