The Green Forest Tigers showed off their offensive punch in a 10-0 victory over Bergman on Tuesday, March 28, led by four goals from Boris Tobar and three from Diego Martinez.
“I was impressed with my kids and the composure they kept throughout the game,” Green Forest coach Adam Richter said.
Catalino Saucedo, Izaak Merida and Westley Lopez also recorded goals for Green Forest in the win over Bergman, with Lopez scoring on a penalty kick.
On Thursday, March 30, the Tigers defeated Eureka Springs 2-0 in a game that was delayed in the first half and ultimately stopped a few minutes into the second half because of heavy rain.
Milton Ortiz and Jonathan Rivera had goals for Green Forest.
“We were playing in a downpour for a decent part of the game and managed to get two really good goals in a short time frame,” Richter said. “… I’m looking forward to playing them again. They had a strong team, and their keeper was incredible.”
Green Forest is scheduled to visit Life Way Christian on Tuesday in Centerton and then face Thaden on Thursday in Bentonville.
