The Green Forest Tigers had to put in a little overtime last Friday night, but they got the job done.
The visiting Tigers outscored Cotter 12-5 in overtime and beat the Warriors 78-71.
Green Forest relied on a balanced scoring attack, as five Tigers scored at least 13 points. The Tigers also made 10 three-point baskets.
Senior guard Ali Cabrera led Green Forest (2-1) with 19 points, including three three-pointers. Senior guard Jay Pope added 16, including five points in overtime. Sophomore Zak Wilson made four three-pointers and scored 14 points. Wilson made three three-pointers in the fourth quarter and another in overtime.
Senior guard Tony Gonzalez and junior forward Brayden Compton added 13 points apiece for Green Forest, which faced Pea Ridge on Monday in the Lincoln Thanksgiving Classic tournament.

Cotter 56, Green Forest 28
Cotter jumped out to a 20-1 lead by the end of the first quarter and went on to defeat the Lady Tigers.
Green Forest scored 20 points in the second half. Sophomore Audrey Phillips led the Lady Tigers with nine points, all in the second half.
