The Green Forest Tigers will be back in action Friday night after an open date last week.
Green Forest will travel to Greenland for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The Tigers’ game plan won’t be a secret. Under first-year head coach Dalton Ewing, Green Forest has put a premium on running the football and swarming to the ball defensively.
That’s the formula the Tigers relied on in handing Ewing his first victory as a head coach with a 28-6 win at West Fork on Sept. 5.
“The identity that I wanted, and the team we had, it kind of fit together perfectly,” said Ewing, a Green Forest graduate.
In the win over West Fork, senior Gabe Serna ran for a pair of touchdowns and the Green Forest defense kept West Fork pinned down most of the night.
Greenland (0-2) is coming off a 3814 home loss to Berryville.
“They’ve got some pretty good weapons,” Ewing said. “It’ll be a good game.”
Green Forest (1-1) used its bye week to improve, Ewing said.
“It was a good week,” he said. “We worked on a lot of stuff we need to work on.”
Friday’s kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
