Thursday party to celebrate Summer Reading Program

Posted

Another successful Summer Reading Program at the Berryville Library is rapidly coming to an end with over 300 participants.

A Peace, Love, & Party! celebration will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at the Carroll Electric Community Room. All those participating in summer programs at the Berryville Library are invited to join in the fun. In keeping with this year’s peace, love and reading theme, the evening will be filled with food, music and lots of ‘groovy’ games, challenges and treats. There will be a special ‘groovy’ photo booth, a chance to play Pin the Flower in the Hippie’s Hair and plenty of time to have some old-fashioned fun with hula hoops, jacks and hopscotch.

“We are so pleased with the number participating in this year’s program and grateful to our local businesses who donate great food coupons we use as rewards for those meeting and exceeding their summer reading goals. It is time to party!” library director Julie Hall said.

If you participated in this year’s summer reading program at the Berryville Library, this is an end-ofsummer celebration you won’t want to miss.
