Hello Bobcat Families & Community!
The second semester is going by so quickly. We have a lot of events to remind everyone about this month as well as students to celebrate.
The Bobcat Band is going to state competition on Tuesday, April 16. Congratulations to Mr. Doug Blevins and his crew for this accomplishment. We are proud of the work the band is doing and how successful they continue to be.
Speaking of success, how about the Odyssey of the Mind students at the middle school winning state! (See complete story in an upcoming newspaper!) They are headed to the World Finals in May to represent the state of Arkansas. Fantastic job! Rachel Harlan and Donna Garlington, middle school teachers, sponsor this group of outstanding students.
It’s state testing time already and the Intermediate School kicked off the week Monday morning with a student assembly. Teachers performed skits for the students that were focused on best practices for testing, such as getting enough sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, and being on time.
I will add that Mrs. Erin Brewer and Mr. Brent Spurlock both deserve Oscars for their performances on stage. The staff and students all enjoyed it! The test dates are April 16-18 for intermediate students. Principal Geren asked and encouraged students to do “their personal best” on each assessment.
High School testing dates are April 16, April 23, and April 30. Middle school will test on April 30, May 1 and May 2.
Families, we greatly appreciate your support during state testing. Thank you for helping us encourage all students to give it their best on each assessment.
UPCOMING REMINDERS AND EVENTS
Kindergarten Registration is being held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 26, in Bobcat Arena.
If there are questions regarding the paperwork you need to register your child, call the school office or check the school’s social media outlets.
Celebrations and Awards Day is also scheduled for 8:15 a.m. on April 26 in the elementary cafeteria.
