District Mission: Ensuring high levels of learning for everyone, every day!
Hello Bobcat Nation!
The Berryville School District is proud to recognize several of our students this month who are succeeding in a variety of areas.
Lucas Pierce is the recipient of the Kiwanis Trivia Night Scholarship for $500. Six members of the wrestling team advanced to state, including Brayden Reeves, Rendy Lazo, David Moreno, Zydon Ballard, Ocean Mullins, and Catherine Paz. Moreno placed third in state competitions and Ballard finished with the Victory with Honor award.
Regional History Day winners who are moving on to Nationals are: Keily Diaz, Andrew Griesenauer, Israel Merida, Molly Staats and Reagan Scarrow. The High School Quiz Bowl team brought home second place in Regionals with Carly Smith being named an All Tournament player.
Congratulations to the Odyssey of the Mind team from Berryville Middle School, coached by teacher Donna Garlington, for placing first at the regional event. The team has qualified for state competition. Team members include seventh-grader Bella Dominguez-Kemp; sixth-graders Bailey Harlan, Kaydince Peacock, Alex Edmond and Amy Ramirez; fifth-grader Edward Sanchez; and third-grader Noah Harlan. Feb. 15 was National School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation day. We value our law enforcement officials who serve our district. Kevin Disheroon and Dan Wilson fill many roles, serving as informal mentors or counselors, law educators and law enforcement officers to support the students and staff. They are valuable and essential members of the education community in Berryville Schools and they deserve unwavering respect and support. They help keep us all safe each day and we appreciate them greatly!
