Our school community was excited to welcome students back for the spring semester. The start of a new term brings excitement, fresh goals and countless opportunities for learning and growth.
After a well-deserved winter break, classrooms are once again filled with the sounds of students reconnecting with friends and staff members. The spring semester is a time to reflect on the progress made during the fall and to set new academic and personal goals for the months ahead. Whether students are preparing for upcoming assessments, exploring new subjects, or participating in extracurricular activities, each new semester offers a chance to grow and succeed.
This semester, Berryville Intermediate students are encouraged to “read to a loved one” for at least 10 minutes each day. A loved one can be a parent, sibling, grandparent — or even a pet. Any time spent reading helps build important literacy skills, and families can support student learning by helping ensure this daily reading expectation is met.
Parents are also reminded that the intermediate school’s lost and found is currently full of coats and other personal items. If your child is missing something, please contact the intermediate school office to check the items that have been collected.
We are proud to recognize several recent student and team accomplishments. Congratulations to the Cheer team for earning a third-place finish in the State 4A Game Day Division and for qualifying for NCA Nationals. We encourage our community to support their fundraising efforts if possible. Congratulations as well to the cheer coaches, Candace Curtis and Ciera Woodruff, on this outstanding achievement. A big shout-out goes to Coach Brent Compton and the Bobcat basketball team for winning the 16th Annual Holiday Hoops Tournament. Great job!
Congratulations to the Senior High All Region band qualifiers: Israel Merida-Noriega, Karson Casey, Maynor Cruz, Andrew Griesenauer, Keily Diaz, Molly Statts, Zoey Garrett, Garrett Tibbets, Zach Shrum, Andrea Granado, Reagan Scarrow and Annabel Cox.
We are grateful for the continued support of parents, guardians and local partners who make education a shared effort. When schools and communities work together, students thrive not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.
As we begin this spring semester, we encourage everyone to stay focused, stay positive, and make the most of every opportunity. Let this semester be one of determination, growth, and achievement for all.
Here’s to a successful spring semester — welcome back to school!
