Posted

Berryville’s Emma Taylor had a big day at the plate on Thursday, April 6, hitting for the cycle and driving in seven runs as the Lady Bobcats won 21-5 in three innings at West Fork.

Taylor got Berryville off to a good start when she ripped a threerun home run with no outs in the first inning after Codi Joubert and Elizabeth Heithold were hit by pitches.

Leading 6-1 after one inning, the Lady Bobcats turned the game into a rout with 13 runs in the top of the second. Taylor was right in the middle of the big inning, hitting an RBI double to make it 7-1 and later clearing the bases with a threerun triple that extended Berryville’s lead to 16-1.

Taylor and Ava O’Gorek scored four runs apiece for Berryville, while Emma Hall added three runs scored and Mallory Whitson had three RBI. Ten Berryville batters were hit by pitches.

Bailey Skelton was the winning pitcher for the Lady Bobcats, who were coming off a 13-3 loss to Huntsville on Wednesday, April 5.

The Lady Bobcats lost to Gentry 20-0 on Friday, April 17.

Berryville will play at Gravette on Tuesday and at Elkins on Thursday before hosting Pea Ridge on Friday.
