The summer is quickly slipping by with only two shows remaining at the Berryville High School Performing Arts Center!
The Berryville Library has been bringing special, family- friendly performers to the PAC each Monday to entertain, educate and inspire. All show are free and begin at 1 p.m. All ages are welcome.
On Monday, July 14, Opera in the Ozarks, Carroll County’s very own professional opera troupe, will be presenting “The Brementown Musicians.” This is a reworked telling of a Grimm’s fairy tale, set to music from a variety of famous opera arias. It’s a show full of familiar characters, a fun story, and a great introduction to some of the most beautiful melodies ever composed.
On Monday, July 21, come to the PAC to learn a lot about and see some live raptors! Regalia International Birds of Prey will be in town to bring to us the world of raptors. This volunteer group from Oklahoma is permitted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to provide educational presentations about birds of prey, their conservation, the ecosystems in which they live and the importance they play in our world. There will be live animals, too! Participants will have an opportunity to get up close to a hawk, owl or a falcon! There is nothing more amazing or wonderful than nature!
The Performing Arts Center at Berryville School is located at 501 Bobcat Drive. The parking lot is at the back of the high school behind Sonic. All shows last about an hour. The shows are designed for all ages, but especially fun for families with kids ages 6 to 12. The shows are in addition to the many activities being offered throughout the summer at the Berryville Library. To view all the activities being offered through the Summer Reading Program, visit the website at berryvillelibrary. org.
