Alpena School District has named its December students of the month. Student nominations were taken using the following criteria: being respectful, service to others, showing growth academically or socially, being helpful to staff and students, having a positive attitude toward learning and others around them, and having good character all around. Two students from each grade were chosen as student of the month by their teachers. Sonic donated student gifts.
