Why are you seeking this office, and what experience or perspective best prepares you to serve effectively?

“I am seeking this office because District 6 deserves experienced, practical leadership that focuses on results rather than rhetoric. I bring more than 33 years of public-sector experience, including over 20 years in management and senior leadership roles, with direct responsibility for budgets, personnel, and long-term planning. That experience has given me a clear understanding of how government operates — what works, what wastes money, and how decisions in Little Rock affect families and communities back home. I am running to put that experience to work for this district and to be a steady, informed voice in the Arkansas House.”

What do you see as the most important issue facing your district right now, and what specific actions would you take to address it if elected “The most important issue facing District 6 is affordability for working families. Too many households are feeling squeezed by rising costs while government continues to take more than it needs. I believe families spend their money more wisely than the state does, and the best way to strengthen our local economy is to put more money back into their pockets. If elected, I would support responsible tax cuts, oppose unnecessary tax increases, and review existing taxes and fees to identify opportunities for relief. Additionally, I would fight to remove the government’s lien on our homes and real estate. As such, I have a plan to eliminate property taxes so that government does not hold a permanent lien on our real property. Lowering or eliminating taxes allow families to decide for themselves how to meet their needs, support local businesses, and keep our communities strong.”

How do you approach budgeting, taxpayer dollars and long-term financial responsibility at the level of government you are seeking to serve?

“Budgeting should begin with a clear understanding of what the Arkansas Constitution requires the state to fund — and what it does not. My approach is to fully fund core constitutional responsibilities first, then carefully evaluate all other programs for effectiveness and necessity. Spending that is duplicative, outdated, or not delivering measurable results should be reduced or eliminated before asking taxpayers for more. Taxpayer dollars must be spent with discipline, transparency, and accountability. Long-term financial responsibility means living within our means, maintaining strong reserves, avoiding unfunded mandates, and using savings from non-essential spending to reduce taxes and protect future generations from unnecessary financial burdens.”
