GummSharon Lee (Roberts) Gumm of Green Forest was born September 14, 1933, in Huntsville to Howard and Dixie (Hudson) Roberts. Sharon passed away November 30, 2024, in Berryville at the age of 91.
She spent 37 years in California working as a hairdresser. May 2, 1973, she married Neil Gumm, together they retired in 1992 and moved to Green Forest. Sharon and Neil enjoyed traveling over most of the western states. She also enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and tomatoes. She seemed to have a green thumb as she could make anything grow and thrive. Her yard and flowers were enjoyed by many passersby when in full bloom.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Neil Gumm; son, Joe Goforth; grandchildren, Joseph Goforth, Joshua Goforth, Marilee Brightwell; great-grandchildren, Levi Brightwell, Carter Goforth, Braxton Goforth; sister-inlaw, Dede Roberts; along with other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by parents, Howard and Dixie Roberts; brother, Phillip Roberts; and granddaughter, Sara Goforth.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024, at Gobbler Cemetery with Reverand Lon Hudson and Chaplain Rex Griffin officiating.
