It’s the last month of the 20222023 school year! We have several individuals to recognize and many celebrations as the year comes to a close.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Each school is honoring their teachers this week with daily treats, lunches and special recognitions. If you haven’t reached out to one of our incredible teachers to thank them for the job they do for students, do it this week. If you want to take advantage of the district’s “Shout Out” form to recognize one of them publicly, visit our website or social media pages for the link. If you want a paper copy instead, contact me and a printed form will be made available.
Graduation is right around the corner! The ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 21, at 3:00 p.m. in the football stadium. Jack Dignan is the 2023 Valedictorian and Elizabeth Perez is the Sal u tat o r ian . Congratulations to these two students and to the entire graduating class!
The district wishes to recognize former student Alex Maldonado this month. Alex received a full scholarship to the University of Arkansas following his graduation from Berryville Public Schools. Most recently, he was notified that he is the recipient of a full-tuition scholarship to UAMS, where he will pursue his dream of becoming a medical doctor. In the words of Berryville’s own Dean Lee, “you can get there from here.” Congratulations
Alex!
The state-required ACT Aspire assessment was completed last month in grades 3-8. Parents and qwguardians, thank you for your help with attendance this year. We are happy to report that three grade levels, 4th, 8th and 11th , each had a day where attendance was 100 percent.
