Silas McGothin of Reeds, Mo., dressed in period clothing on Sept.24 to shoot with his muskets during the 67th annual Saunders Memorial Shoot at the Luther Owens Muzzle Loading Range and Park in Berryville. During the four-day event, Matt Wood of Elkins won the Men’s Aggregate shooting a flintlock rifle, along with the prize for High Flintlock Shooter; Katlyn Aquilar from Lawrence, Kan. won the Women’s Aggregate; Jerry Coose of Lockwood, Mo. won the Old Timer’s Aggregate; and Barry Jantz of Branson won the Men’s Pistol Aggregate. Bill Burns of Texarkana and Terry Hensley of McAlester, Okla., each finished with perfect scores of 50.
