Sara “Sam” Anna (Smith) Gage of Green Forest, Arkansas was born November 10, 1947, in Yakima, Washington; the daughter of Roy Benjamin and Helen Katherine (Kelso) Smith. She departed this life Friday, June 3, 2022, in Harrison, Arkansas at the age of 74.
She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling the country with Dewitt.
On October 18, 1968, Sara was united in marriage with Dewitt Gage, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents Roy and Helen Smith and siblings; Roberta (Smith) Gibbs, Dale Ray Smith and Andrew Smith.
She is survived by her four children; Sandy (Karl) Cartmell of Hindsville, Arkansas; Debbie (Jerry) Norris of Green Forest; Brian Gage of Harrison, Robin Gage of Calico Rock. Eleven grandchildren; Jennifer Dillard, John Cartmell of Huntsville; Kayla (Kris) Worrall, Michael (Hannah) Norris, Jerod (Elizabeth) Norris of Green Forest; Tyler (Christina) Coatney of Springdale; Hayley Coatney; Makensie Gage, Carson Gage of Harrison; Cale Heithold of Springfield, Missouri; Elizabeth Heithold of Berryville. Twelve great grandchildren; Austin Dillard, Kaylee Cartmell of Huntsville; Kylee, Brantley, Ava, Jordon Worrall; James, Catherine, Sophia Norris; Tucker Norris of Green Forest; Olen Norris of Elkins, West Virginia; Cooper Gennarelli of Harrison. She is also survived by two brothers; Earl B. (Betty) Smith of Huntsville, David (Sandy) Smith of Berryville; two sisters Carolyn Whiteley of Huntsville, Jean Holman of Rogers: numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Graveside service and interment was 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Moore Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Bradley officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Hillcrest Home, 1111 Maplewood Road, Harrison, AR 72601 or Legacy Hospice, 702 N Main St. Suite A, Harrison, AR 72601.
