Roundtable on children’s issues slated for Aug. 30 in Berryville

Posted

The public is invited to attend a discussion in Berryville later this month about building a movement on behalf of Arkansas’ children.

The Carroll County Community Foundation and Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families will host a roundtable discussion from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the Carroll County Electric Cooperative, 920 Highway 62 Spur in Berryville.

The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Those interested in attending can register at www.aradvocates.org/events or call (479) 927-9800 for more information.

The event will include an update of current policy issues impacting children in our region and across the state. Attendees will break into discussion groups to talk about how community members can build a movement to advance policies for Arkansas’ children. This is one in a series of events statewide to help child advocates call attention to policy issues this election season and prepare for the 2023 Arkansas General Assembly.
