SchankeRobert “Bob” Kenneth Schanke, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on February 5, 2024, in Harrison, Arkansas, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and laughter. He was born on January 27, 1950, in Independence, Iowa, to Kenneth and Karma Schanke.
Robert dedicated much of his life to his work at Tyson Foods, where he was a valued and respected employee. Outside of work, he found joy in a variety of hobbies, including riding his motorcycle, exploring flea markets and garage sales, fishing, and roller skating. His adventurous spirit and zest for life were contagious, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marion Schanke and Karma and Larry Haumschild.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Loretta Schanke; four sons, Robbie Schanke (Amanda) of Harrison, Joey Schanke (Ana) of Berryville, Arkansas, Bradley Schanke (Lauren) of Green Forest, Arkansas, and Greg Culley (Heather) of San Francisco, California; and one daughter, Candice Culley of Gilbert, Arizona; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his immediate family, Robert is also survived by his brothers, Larry Schanke (Marion) of Cabot, Arkansas, Bill Schanke of Evansdale, Iowa, and Scott Schanke of Dodgeville, Wisconsin. He leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, and dear friends who will miss his presence dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Ozark Baptist Church in Bergman, officiated by Daniel Clement, and under the compassionate direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
