Ricky Walker of Green Forest, Arkansas, was born January 26, 1967, in Harrison, Arkansas to Richard and Kay (Todd) Walker. Ricky passed away June 23, 2022, in Green Forest at the age of 55.
Ricky loved the Lord. He had an unwavering faith and joyful spirit. Ricky never missed an opportunity to spread God’s love. His family was his whole world. Ricky was a devoted husband and father. His favorite thing in the world was being a Pappy to his four grandchildren.
He loved to be outdoors, fishing was Ricky’s passion, and the lake was one of his favorite places to be. Ricky was retired from the Green Forest Fire Department after 30 plus years of service. He also worked at Tyson’s for over 30 years.
Ricky will be remembered for his contagious smile and laugh. He lit up a room wherever he went. Ricky never knew a stranger. Words cannot describe the impact Ricky had on others and the lives he touched.
June 28, 1986, Ricky was united in marriage to Anessa (Wright) Walker who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his sons Ramsey Walker and wife Megan of Green Forest, Riley Walker and wife Kaileigh of Green Forest; mother Kay Walker of Green Forest; sister Sandra Nance and Roger of Berryville; granddaughters Paislee, Raeleigh, and Sophie of Green Forest; grandson Reagan of Green Forest; along with other family members and friends.
Ricky is preceded by his father Richard Walker; grandparents Garland and Bonnie Walker, Dave and Ovie Todd.
Visitation will be 8:00 am till 10:00 am, Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church in Green Forest. Graveside service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Farmers Cemetery with Pastor Joe Summers officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 1305 E Main Street, Green Forest, AR 72638. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
