FowlerRichard James Fowler of Holiday Island was born June 26, 1956, in San Angelo, Texas to James and Faye (Seipp) Fowler. Richard passed away October 15, 2024, in Springdale, Arkansas at the age of 68.
An avid outdoorsman, Richard’s weekends were often spent with a fishing rod in hand or exploring the wilderness, camping under the stars. His love for football and his love to cook up a feast for friends and family. Richard’s hands were rarely still, as he found solace in working, whether it was meticulously crafting woodwork or breathing new life into antiques. His skills at refurbishing furniture were admired by all. Richard’s loyal dog, Leo was a constant companion on his many adventures, providing silent companionship and shared moments of contentment. A true Civil War history buff, Richard’s knowledge of the era was extensive. Richard Fowler’s legacy is one of passion, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the heritage and beauty of his beloved Arkansas. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. On December 24, 1983, Richard was united in marriage to Sheilah Fowler who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his son, Marc Fowler; two granddaughters; brother, David Martin; aunt, Joyce Whalen; two nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Faye Fowler; his loving grandmother, Iva Seipp.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Nelson’s Chapel of the Springs. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 21, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Joseph Archibong officiating.
