Opal Gerene Flippo of Green Forest, Arkansas was born in Deer, Arkansas to John Nolis and Augusta (Smith) Faught. Opal passed away July 4, 2022, in Huntsville at the age 81.
She was a very giving person and very faithful to the Lord. Opal enjoyed being with her family and camping.
Opal is survived by her husband Claudie Flippo; children DeWayne Flippo, Christine Patty and husband Donnie, Jeannie Davidson and husband Ken, Theresa Armer and husband Johnny, Phillip Flippo and wife Lori; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; six brothers; four sisters.
She is preceded by her parents John Nolis and Augusta Faught; brother Eugene Faught; grandson Josh Armer.
Visitation was 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel. Funeral service was 10:00 am, Friday, July 8, 2022, at Miracle Lighthouse Church in Harrison, Arkansas with Pastor Arvin Adams and Evangelist Johnny McKinley officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 8, 2022, at Crossroads Cemetery near Deer, Arkansas. Memorial donations may be made the Nelson Funeral Service, PO Box 311, Berryville, AR 72616 to help family with final expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
