Newspaper launching redesigned website next week

The Carroll County News will unveil a redesigned website Monday, March 30, at www. CarrollCoNews.com. The website address will remain the same, but readers will notice a new look and expanded features.

The redesign is the result of a new partnership between Carroll County Community Media and Creative Circle Media Solutions, a Rhode Island- based company that specializes in providing solutions for digital media, print publications and more.

Carroll County Community Media publishes the Carroll County News and the Eureka Springs Times-Echo. A redesigned Times-Echo website at www.EurekaSpringsTimesEcho. net debuted earlier this month.

“I’m really excited about this change,” said Scott Loftis, who is the majority owner, editor and publisher of both newspapers. “I had interacted with Creative Circle’s founder, Bill Ostendorf, at some industry conventions and was eager to work with him. I’m still learning how to take full advantage of the functionality of the new sites, but it’s already blown me away with what it can do.”

The updated websites offer customization options not available on previous versions, Loftis said, allowing the newspapers to change the way each site looks based on the most relevant news and features.

“The Times-Echo site already looks so much better, and I know I’m only scratching the surface,” he said. “I’m eager to learn more, and I’m eager for our readers to check out the new sites.” Carroll County News subscribers may need to update their passwords in order to access the redesigned website. Subscribers who experience issues should contact Loftis at 870-423-6636 or by email at SLoftis@CarrollCoNews.com.

“We know there may be some hiccups to work through early, but I think everyone will agree that the redesign is a serious improvement and worth the effort,” Loftis said.
