District Mission: Ensuring high levels of learning for everyone, every day!
Bobcat Families and Community Members, I hope everyone is off to a great New Year! Our district has invested in our bus technology recently to support student safety. We have WiFi for students, live cameras, accurate GPS and a student attendance system so that we know when and where each child gets on and off the bus. BUS COMPASS, the “parent app” will now let you know when and where your student gets on and off their bus.
Below, you will see a graphic depicting BUS COMPASS. Download the app from your phone’s app store. Once the app is uploaded, enter the email or cell number the school has on file. A passcode will be sent to you for login purposes. When you sign up, verify all of your children are in your app. If they are not all listed, contact their schools to assure the information for your phone and email is the same for all children and correct.
Join us in congratulating senior Kaiden Flowers for being recognized as the C4 Student of the Month and senior Sadie Sharp as the Rotary Student of the Month. We are proud of Kaiden and Sadie!
FCCLA students are making a difference in the state and we are very excited about their accomplishments. Six representatives, Alisa Sutton, Chayse Anderson, Myla Hernandez, Colton Franklin, Baylee Ballard and Shelby Allen, are headed to State! Chayse Anderson will serve as the Region 2 State Officer, Alisa Sutton as Region 2 FCCLA President, and Baylee Ballard as Region 2 FCCLA Vice President. Congratulations to these students and sponsor Chandra Davis. The Berryville High Bobcat Cheerleaders set the bar high by qualifying for Nationals in Dallas. This is the first time in the history of the school that the cheer team has made it to nationals. They will compete Jan. 24-27. Good luck to this outstanding team and their coach, Candace Curtis!
The basketball homecoming event has been scheduled for Feb. 4 in the Bobcat Arena. Come out and support the basketball teams and enjoy a fun night of activities if you can.
January is School Board Appreciation Month. Board members volunteer a tremendous amount of time to serve Berryville Schools. They are dedicated to our mission and always stand in support of all students in the district. We appreciate each of our members and are thankful for their service. Current board members are President Linda Winkle, Vice President Kristi Howerton, Secretary Jeff Tanksley, Lee-Ann Fultz, Travis Gregory, Dustin Walker and Tyler Ashworth.
Reminder — Be sure all contact information is up to date in your child’s school in case we have more inclement weather this winter and always have a plan for early dismissal. Until next time, take care and stay warm!
