Nancy Carline Ates of Green Forest, Arkansas was born September 14, 1951, in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Carl and Sara (Estes) Milstead. Nancy passed away June 2, 2022, in Harrison at the age of 70.
October 29, 1972, Nancy was united in marriage to James Ates who survives her of the home. She is also survived by her daughters Melanie McLeain of North Little Rock, Sara Davis and husband Thad of Green Forest; grandsons Kirby Nix, Reagan Nix, Myron Nix, Noah Nix, Michael (Ike) Davis; granddaughter Abigail (Abbi) Davis; brother Paul Milstead and wife Judy of Fayetteville; along with a host of beloved church family.
Nancy is preceded by her parents Carl and Nancy Milstead; granddaughter Kara Elyse Nix; brothers Gale Milstead and Robert Milstead.
Visitation will be 10:00 am till 12:00 pm, Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Truth Tabernacle in Green Forest. Graveside service will be 2:30 pm, Thursday, June 9, 2022, at New Home Cemetery in Green Forest. Memorial service will be 4:00 pm, Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Truth Tabernacle in Green Forest. Memorial donations may be sent to Truth Tabernacle, PO Box 22, Green Forest AR, 72638, or Hospice of the Hills, 501 E. Sherman Avenue, Harrison, AR 72601.
