Myrtle LaJunta Holman ColvinMyrtle LaJunta Holman Colvin of Berryville, Arkansas was born on March 11, 1932, at Dean, Arkansas to John Doyle and Janie (Armstrong) Holman. LaJunta passed away May 23, 2023 in Berryville at the age of 91.
She was a longtime member of Towering Oaks Church. LaJunta enjoyed music parties, attending gospel and bluegrass singings at all of the area churches, senior citizens outings and their special events with her many friends at the Berryville Senior Center.
LaJunta is survived by her nephews, Leon Holman and wife Susan of Rising Sun, Maryland, Lynn Holman of Metalton, Arkansas, Ron Holman er,
and wife Kim of Asher, Oklahoma; cousin, Mildred Hokett of Berryville, Arkansas; along with many other lifelong friends. On March 25, 1961, she was united in marriage with Glen Colvin who preceded her in death on July 31,1986. She is also preceded by her parents, John Doyle and Janie Holman; brothers, Everett Holman, Hugh Holman; daughter, Georgia Walker and son-in-law, Jimmy Walker.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Moore Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to nelsonfuneral.com.
