Mercy Hospital Berryville is excited to offer a free community showing of “Soul on Fire,” an inspiring film based on the true story of a Mercy patient who overcame life-threatening injuries to become a source of hope and encouragement for others facing challenges.
The free showing will be held Saturday, Nov. 1, at Main Theatre, 207 S. Main St. in Berryville.
Join Mercy for an evening of inspiration and courage celebrating the power of encouragement, faith and a caring community.
Free tickets and popcorn will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at Saturday’s showing. Seating is limited so early arrival is encouraged. (Additional regular showings are available on Friday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 2, but are not sponsored by Mercy and will have a cost.)
Mercy wants to share the incredible “Soul on Fire” movie and the John O’Leary story. Mercy first met John O’Leary as a 9-year-old boy, with burns over 100 percent of his body and a 1 percent chance of survival. A true story of hope and resilience, John’s miraculous recovery has since inspired millions of people to live with courage and positivity.
In his motivational speaking and best-selling books, John has credited the caregivers at Mercy with helping him survive the terrible accident that changed the course of his life. Through love and compassion, the team at Mercy helped him slowly heal and overcome impossible odds, and that story is being told in a major motion picture, showing in select theaters now.
