On September 3, 2022 Jo passed peacefully from this life back into the arms of her other half, LD. She was surrounded by her family on both sides of consciousness. Jo was 90 years of age.
Jo was born January 27, 1932 in Kansas City, MO to Otto Neal Walters and Martha Ellen Watters Walters. Jo was one of eleven children and the last surviving sibling. Most of her youth was spent in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. At the age of 14 she met a persistent young LD Pritchard. after spurning his many attempts to win her over she at last relented. She was sure he would soon lose interest in his best friend’s little sister. They were married 2 weeks after Jo’s high school graduation and we’re inseparable for the next 69 years until LD’s death September 8, 2019.
Jo and LD raised two daughters, Deborah and Teresa. They also delighted in their granddaughters Amy and Sarah. Hunter, their great grandson was the apple of their eyes.
She is survived by daughters Deborah Linhardt, Sedona, AZ and Teresa Bockting (Charlie), Lees Summit, MO. Two granddaughters Amy Bockting, Lees Summit, MO and Sarah Bockting, Denver, CO. Great grandson Hunter Bockting, Denver, CO. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Interment of LD and Jo Pritchard We will be interring them together on Sunday October 16 at noon at the Eureka Springs Cemetery in Eureka Springs Arkansas. This will be a simple, short event but we would love to see any family or friends who are in the area.
