The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, along with the United States Marshals Service, arrested Hunter Seitz, 31, of Berryville on outstanding Carroll County felony warrants as well as a federal indictment, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
The arrest came almost five months after the CCSO Narcotics Division, supported by the Criminal Investigations and Patrol Divisions, executed a search warrant at Seitz’s residence in rural Berryville, on June 26, seizing narcotics, illegal firearms, firearm accessories and items commonly used for packaging and distribution of narcotics, according to the news release. Seitz, who is a convicted felon, was arrested and charged in Carroll County Circuit Court.
On July 28, the CCSO Narcotics Division, in conjunction with Arkansas Department of Community Corrections and CCSO Patrol Division, conducted a follow- up investigation and seized more illegally possessed firearms and methamphetamine, the news release says.
The Narcotics Division of the sheriff’s office referred the case to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, which subsequently referred the case to the United States Attorney’s Office of Western Arkansas.
A grand jury federally indicted Seitz, and an arrest warrant was issued out of the Western District of Arkansas.
