Several Carroll County golfers have advanced to play in their respective state golf tournaments, with girls state tournaments starting this week.
The Berryville Bobcats finished second in the team standings at the 4A-1 conference tournament on Monday, Sept. 19, at The Highlands in Bella Vista, qualifying for the Class 4A state tournament on Oct. 3 at Magellan Golf Course in Hot Springs Village. Berryville senior Nate Allen finished second in the individual standings, one stroke behind the medalist.
Berryville’s Emma Hall qualified for the Class 4A girls state tournament, which was played Monday, Sept. 26, at Magellan.
The Eureka Springs Lady Highlanders won the 2A-1 conference tournament and qualified for the Class 2A state tournament, to be played Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Glenwood Country Club. Eureka Springs’ Ana Crider took individual medalist honors at the district tournament.
Green Forest’s Leah Evans will play in the Class 3A girls state tournament Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Turkey Mountain Golf Course in Horseshoe Bend.
