Carroll County’s high school girls golf teams were well-represented in state tournament play last week.
Berryville’s Emma Hall finished in the top 20 at the Class 4A girls state championships at Magellan Golf Course in Hot Springs Village on Sept. 26. Hall shot 104 on the par-72 course and finished in a tie for 19th place.
In the Class 3A state tournament, played Sept. 27 on the Turkey Mountain course in Horseshoe Bend, Green Forest’s Leah Evans shot 127 on the par-73 course to finish in a tie for 56th place.
Eureka Springs’ Anna Crider shot a 108 in the Class 2A state championships played Sept. 27 on the par-72 course at Glenwood Country Club. Crider tied for 11th place in the individual standings and led the Lady Highlanders to fifth place in the final team standings. Katie Farrar shot 116 to finish tied for 22nd in the individual standings, while Aspen Pena’s 136th was good for 39th place. The Lady Highlanders finished one stroke ahead of sixth-place Quitman.
The Berryville Bobcats played in the Class 4A boys state tournament Monday at Magellan Golf Course. Results will be available online at www.CarrollCoNews. com.
