The Lincoln Wolves scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Green Forest 4-3 in the first round of the 3A-1 district baseball tournament on Thursday, April 25.
Green Forest had led 3-0 after scoring a pair of runs in the top of the fifth inning, but Lincoln scored twice in the bottom of the fifth to set the stage for its rally in the seventh.
Jace Meador had three of the Tigers’ six hits, including an RBI single for a 1-0 lead in the fourth another run-scoring single in the fourth to make it 2-0. Brityn Gilliam followed with an RBI single for the 3-0 lead.
Mason Meador pitched five innings for Green Forest, striking out eight batters while allowing one earned run on four hits.
