Lana Gale Skelton Kilbourn was born to Clifton Skelton and Bobbie Villines Skelton Flowers on March 3, 1947, in Harrison, Arkansas. She passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2024.

Lana married her husband and high school sweetheart, David, on July 20, 1968. His military service took them across the country, up and down California and to Hawaii where they had their first child, Michael. After returning home, they welcomed their daughter, Casey. Over the next several decades, they welcomed five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Throughout her life she took many roles, including farmer, homemaker, wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook, garden, quilt, and take care of her children and grandchildren. She took pride in her animals, chickens and goats alike. She told every story she knew to tell, and showed her love through feeding anyone who would eat. Lana was well loved and loved her family above all else.

Lana is preceded in death by her father, Clifton Skelton; mother, Bobbie Villines Skelton Flowers; step-father, Duane Flowers; grandparents, Harvey and Myrtle (Beaver) Skelton; grandparents, Charles and Lora (Braswell) Villines; and brother-in-law, Terry Parsons.

Lana is survived by her husband, David Kilbourn of Green Forest, Arkansas; son, Michael and wife Sherry Kilbourn of Green Forest, Arkansas; daughter, Cassandra (Casey) Holsted of Green Forest, Arkansas; grandchildren, Erica Kilbourn, Tony Kilbourn, Hailey Kilbourn, Alassandra (Ally) Holsted, and Sebastian Holsted all of Green Forest, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Kadee and Daniel Kilbourn of Green Forest, Arkansas; brother, Larry and wife Debbie Flowers of Centerton, Arkansas; sister, Marilyn Parsons of Lampe, Missouri; brother, Kevin and wife Lynn Flowers of Oak Grove, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Diane and husband Stanley Norris of Green Forest; nieces, Alma and husband Mark Settles of Kimberling City, Missouri and Heather Fry of Rogersville, Missouri; nephews, Sergio and wife Lori Ruiz Riojas of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, Heath and wife Alisha Norris of Green Forest, Cody and wife Tasha Flowers of Centerton, Arkansas and Jermey and wife Tisha Flowers of Centerton, Arkansas.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2024, at Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel with Pastor Curtis Bradley officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held the hour before the service. Interment will follow at Pickens Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
