The Green Forest Lady Tigers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 16-1 victory over Lead Hill on Monday, April 3.
The Lady Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, then tacked on seven more in the second on the way to the four-inning win.
First baseman Lyndsey Snow hit a two-run triple in the second and twin sister Allie added an RBI double three batters later that made it 8-0. Alyvia Newboles and Tamika Ramirez had RBI singles in the Lady Tigers’ big inning.
Lyndsey Snow and Ramirez finished with two RBI apiece, while Newboles, Allie Snow and Brinley Bishop each scored twice.
Newboles was the winning pitcher, striking out eight batters while allowing one hit and one unearned run in four innings.
Green Forest lost a doubleheader at Lincoln on Thursday, April 6, by scores of 19-0 and 15-0, then lost at Marshall 12-0 on Friday, April 7.
The Lady Tigers hosted Valley Springs for a doubleheader on Monday. They’ll play road games against Cotter on Thursday and Yellville-Summit on Friday.
