Posted

So far, so good for Jarrett Clibrey’s first season as head coach of the Green Forest Lady Tigers.

The Lady Tigers got off to a 2-0 start last week, beating Haas Hall of Fayetteville 55-13 on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Grim Gym before going on the road to beat Thaden 57-41 on Friday, Nov. 14, in Bentonville.

Senior Kaylyn Smith, in her first season at Green Forest after earning All-State honors last season for Berryville, scored a game-high 15 points against Haas Hall and had 24 in the win over Thaden.

Emma Watson scored 12 points against Haas Hall, while junior Kinly Smith — Kaylyn’s younger sister — had 15 points against Thaden and nine against Haas Hall.

“We’ve started off looking pretty good,” Clibrey said. “I hope we’re able to compete with some people this season.”

Green Forest will host West Fork on Tuesday, Nov. 18, and Reeds Spring, Mo., on Friday, Nov. 21.
