Lady Tigers can’t erase early deficit

Posted

The Green Forest Lady Tigers couldn’t overcome a big early deficit in a 20-5 loss to Gravette on Thursday, April 3.

Gravette scored seven runs in the first inning and added six in the second for a 13-0 lead before Green Forest rallied with four runs in the bottom of the second.

Brinley Bishop had the big hit for the Lady Tigers — a three-run double with two outs that scored Audrey Phillips, Allie Tipton and Katie Smith. Tipton’s RBI single earlier in the inning had scored Emerson DeMeyer with Green Forest’s first run.

On Tuesday, April 1, Green went hitless over three innings in a 23-0 loss to Prairie Grove.

Green Forest was scheduled to host Lead Hill on Monday, April 7, before playing at home against West Fork on Tuesday, April 8, and Gentry on Thursday, April 10.
