The Green Forest Lady Tigers softball team picked up four wins last week, sweeping a doubleheader from Bergman on Monday, March 27, then beating Omaha the next day before losing to West Fork last Thursday. The Lady Tigers beat Huntsville on Saturday, April 1.
Green Forest defeated Bergman 24-11 and 18-1. Lindsey Snow and Brinley Bishop each hit home runs in the first game, with Bishop driving in three runs and Snow collecting five RBI for the Lady Tigers. Twin sister Allie Snow had three of Green Forest’s 16 hits and scored three runs. Presley Gordon and Tamika Ramirez each had two hits and scored three runs.
In the second game against Bergman, Lindsey Snow led the way again with two hits, two RBI and three runs scored.
On Tuesday, March 28, Green Forest beat Omaha 15-2. Leah Evans and Vanessa Guardado, the top two hitters in the Lady Tigers’ lineup, each had three hits. Evans scored twice, while Guardado had three runs scored and drove in three runs. Lindsey Snow, Bella Phillips and Gordon each added two RBI and Phillips, Gordon and Allie Snow scored two runs apiece.
Alyvia Newboles earned the pitching victory, striking out eight batters in three innings.
West Fork beat Green Forest 7-0 on Thursday, March 30.
On Saturday, April 1, Green Forest defeated Huntsville, 7-2, despite registering just one hit — an RBI double by Ramirez. Gordon scored two runs for the Lady Tigers.
Green Forest played Lead Hill on Monday. The Lady Tigers will host Cotter on Tuesday before traveling to Lincoln on Thursday for a doubleheader. On Friday, Green Forest will play at Marshall.
