The Berryville Lady Bobcats split a pair of road games in 4A-1 conference play last week, losing to Shiloh Christian 41-30 on Tuesday, Jan. 28, in Springdale before winning 45-36 at Gravette on Friday, Jan. 31.
With four conference games remaining, the Lady Bobcats are tied with Shiloh Christian for second place at 8-2.
Shiloh Christian held Berryville to three second- quarter points to take a 22-18 halftime lead, then gradually pulled away in the second half. Junior Kaylyn Smith led the Lady Bobcats with 10 points.
Against Gravette, it was Berryville that built an early lead and added to it. The Lady Bobcats led by just four at halftime, 20-16, but extended their advantage to nine by the end of the third quarter. Smith had 20 points for Berryville while senior Kynadee Hopper added nine.
Berryville played at Blue Eye on Monday, Feb. 3. The Lady Bobcats host Green Forest on Tuesday, Feb. 4, before traveling to Huntsville on Friday, Feb. 7.
