Berryville coach Kristin Whetham said the Lady Bobcats’ loss to host Prairie Grove in the first round of the 4A Northwest district volleyball tournament on Monday, Oct. 18, was typical of the entire season.
Berryville was competitive all the way, but lost all three sets by identical 25-20 scores.
“It was kind of like our entire season,” Whetham said. “We were in it the entire time but we just couldn’t get over the hump.”
Berryville finished 6-10, but will bring back some experienced starters along with a talented class of sophomores next season.
“I had meetings with all the girls and that’s the kind of things we discussed,” Whetham said. “We’re going to have to figure out how to change the culture just a little bit. We haven’t been real successful the last two seasons, so we’ve got to figure out a way to not just play hard but play hard to win.”
