The Berryville Lady Bobcats displayed a balanced offensive attack in a 63-17 victory over Eureka Springs in the Lady Bobcats’ home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
Six players scored at least eight points for Berryville, led by 10 points each from sophomores Ella Miller and Hailey Howerton. Juniors Taelor Tomlinson and Sophie Bartos and sophomores Kaylyn Smith and Paige Thurman each added eight points for Berryville, which made eight three-pointers. The Lady Bobcats led 37-4 at halftime.
Yaretsi Tapia scored 11 points for Eureka Springs.
Berryville 60, Reeds Spring 43
Berryville outscored Reeds Spring 22-9 in the fourth quarter to break open a close game in the first round of the annual Blue Eye tournament on Monday, Nov. 27.
Sophomore Paige Thurman scored 14 points for Berryville, which led 32-21 at halftime but just 38-34 at the end of the third quarter.
Sophomore Kaylyn Smith made three three-pointers in the fourth quarter and finished with 13 points for the Lady Bobcats, while sophomore Hailey Howerton added 10.
Berryville 56, Blue Eye 49
Sophomore Kaylyn Smith scored 16 points and junior Taelor Tomlinson added 14 as Berryville defeated the host team on Thursday, Nov. 30, in the Blue Eye tournament.
Glendale 53, Berryville 31
Glendale (Mo.) defeated Berryville in the championship game of the Blue Eye tournament on Friday, Dec. 1.
Glendale outscored Berryville 16-7 in the second quarter to open a 32-19 halftime lead. Sophmore Kaylyn Smith led the Lady Bobcats with 10 points.
Kingston 66, Berryville 39
Kingston built a 20-point lead by halftime and went on to defeat Berryville in the first round of the Green Forest Holiday Tournament, sponsored by Anstaff Bank.
Sophomore Ella Miller led Berryville with 10 points.
Berryville will play in the consolation bracket at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, against the loser of Wednesday’s game between Green Forest and Omaha.
