Springfield television station KYTV, better known as KY3, brought its First Alert Weather Tour to Berryville on Thursday, March 9, drawing a crowd to Berryville High School’s Performing Arts Center.
News anchors Steve Grant and Maria Neider were on hand as well as several other on-air personalities and crew members from KY3, signing autographs and interacting with local fans.
The event also featured an airing of the television station’s “The Place” program in the Performing Arts Center auditorium, with an episode focused on Berryville. The episode included segments on the Saunders Museum, Nighthawk Custom, the Pension Mountain trails, the Ozark Cafe and the Berryville Community Center.
During commercial breaks, Grant and Neider asked trivia questions about Berryville and Carroll County, with those who answered correctly getting the opportunity to choose from a variety of prizes.
The event also included several weather experiments that were a big hit with the kids in attendance.
