Berryville sophomore Bella Knapp finished 26th in the girls division at the Lions Thrive Invitational cross country meet hosted by Gravette at Northwest Arkansas Community College in Rogers on Tuesday, Oct. 18, covering the 5,000-meter course in a time of 23 minutes, 46.70 seconds.
Knapp led Berryville to a seventh-place finish in the girls team standings. She was followed by teammates Astralia Amos (35th, 24:11.50); Tessa Parton (36th, 24:18.50); Maranatha Ross (53rd, 25:44.90); and Sophee Bartos (76th, 36:38.70).
Cole Price was the top finisher for the Berryville boys, finishing in 19:40.00 for 46th place. He was followed by Nathan Ross (91st, 22:52.60); Aden Burnett (102nd, 25:42.90); and Gavin Simpkins (105th, 27:04.30).
Berryville eighth-grader Kai Killingsworth won the junior high girls two-mile run in a time of 13:14.50. On the boys side, Noah Houghton placed 10th in 12:24.30.
Berryville will compete in the 4A-1 district championships on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Huntsville.
