Killingsworth paces Lady Bobcats

Berryville sophomore Kai Killingsworth finished second in the girls division at the 4A-1 District cross country championships on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Northwest Arkansas Community College in Rogers.

Killingsworth covered the 5,000-meter course in 20 minutes, 51.74 seconds to lead the Lady Bobcats to a thirdplace finish in the team standings behind Gravette and Pea Ridge.

Green Forest senior Arauny Reyes was seventh in the boys division with a time of 17:22.42 as the Tigers finished sixth in the team standings.

Berryville’s boys were fourth, led by sophomore Carson McMellon in 12th place (17:59.12).

Green Forest senior Kayla Lozano finished 12th in the girls division (23:48.03). The Lady Tigers were fourth in the team standings.

The Class 4A state championships will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs.
