On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the team at Kerusso celebrated National Chili Day with their annual chili cook-off competition. Twenty- five contestants shared their culinary talents, 40 gallons of chili, and a whole lot of fun! Team members enjoyed endless tastings and carefully voted for the best of the best!
The title of 2025 Kerusso Chili Champion went to Patrick Stow with his “Southern Smooth” recipe. Second place went to Phil Harris with “Smokin’ Barrel Chili,” and third place was awarded to Lorri Carter for “Green Monster.”
Kerusso founder Vic Kennett asked the champion what his secret was to such great chili. Stow responded, “I can’t tell you that.”
